MindAfrica Leadership Initiative is a non-profit organisation dedicated to bridging the digital, educational, and economic inequities facing economically disadvantaged children, youths, and Women in Nigeria and other parts of Africa.
Established in July 2006 as Mentors International Development Foundation, also known as MIND Foundation, our journey began with a simple yet powerful mission to provide free hands-on vocational, digital, and leadership skills to the underserved communities, empowering them to realise their full potential and become agents of change in their own lives and communities.
In September 2014, we embraced a new name, MindAfrica Leadership Initiative, to better align with our evolving vision to reach other African communities. Over the years, we have expanded our program portfolios but remained dedicated to empowering individuals and nurturing leadership capacities for a brighter future.
We are bridging the competency and knowledge gaps in STEM
To bridge the competency and knowledge gaps for underserved African children, youth, and women through digital skills education, STEM enrichment, mentorship, and empowerment programs.
We envision a future where vulnerable African children, youth, and women have equitable access to education, digital resources, and opportunities to achieve their fullest potential and contribute to the well-being of their communities.
In Nigeria and across Africa, economically disadvantaged children, women and youths face significant barriers to accessing quality education and digital resources.
Limited access to educational opportunities reinforces cycles of poverty and inequality, hindering the potential of these young individuals to thrive and contribute to their communities.
Without intervention, this disparity will continue to widen, leaving countless children, women and youths marginalized and without the skills necessary to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
MindAfrica believes that every child, no matter their socio-economic background, has great potential.
By empowering them with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed, we enable them to break free from the cycle of poverty, unlocking their potential to become future leaders, innovators, and change-makers in their communities and beyond.
Through transformative hands-on education and skill-building, we can create a more equitable and prosperous Africa.
